The opening of our first ever boutique right in the heart of Helsinki, Korkeavuorenkatu 3 was precise during Finnish Architecture & Design Days 2.2.24. As enthusiasts of design excellence, we have curated a space that not only showcases the finest in Finnish craftsmanship but also serves as a testament to our commitment to innovative and bold yet timeless design. The interior of the boutique was created by our dear friend, Hanna Anonen.
The design of the boutique has taken into account the original look of the storefront space, complemented by the modern style of Made by Choice furniture. The high ceiling height has been utilized with tall shelving. The aim was to create an inviting and cozy space where customers can explore Made by Choice products, with seating areas provided to encourage lingering and relaxation.
We are excited to start collaborating with interior designer Sirpa Linnanmäki. She runs the boutique and serves our loyal and discerning customers in her “home” street where she has been running her own boutique for 12 years.
Hanna Anonen
Hanna Anonen is a versatile designer whose portfolio covers a wide range from spatial and graphic design to interior decoration products, such as furniture and smaller items.
The pieces, which are often made from painted wood, are characterised by bright colours, unexpected ideas and playfulness.
Anonen's works are reinventing the image of Finnish modern design and have received international attention. Hanna Anonen’s style is bold and unique and her expert skills have gained her assignments from many Finnish brands.
These include, among others, Made by Choice, Hakola and Mifuko. Anonen has also made exhibition design for Iittala and the Design Museum, among other clients.
Anonen received the Young Designer of the Year prize in 2021, awarded by Design Forum Finland.
Sirpa Linnanmäki
Sirpa Linnanmäki is a professional in interior design as well as a crafts and applied arts teacher.
With thirty years of experience in the field of interior design, commercial leadership roles for brands, concept design, product portfolio and product design tasks, as well as project management.
