As the latest concept from Artfarm—founded by Manuela and Iwan Wirth of the renowned Hauser & Wirth—Manuela is more than a restaurant; it’s a mini-museum, an immersive space where art and dining blend seamlessly.
At Made by Choice, collaborating with Manuela on this remarkable project has been both inspiring and deeply rewarding. From the start, Artfarm’s vision for a holistic space where art, sustainability, and community converge resonated with our own ethos. The new upholstered design of the Kolho chairs designed with Matthew Day Jackson specifically for Manuela’s setting—particularly in harmony with the artwork of the space—was an exciting challenge, one that allowed us to explore form and craftsmanship in new ways. The restaurant has almost 100 of the chairs!
The chairs have been designed to reflect with the restaurant's art work. We wanted these pieces not just to complement the art but to become an integral part of the environment, sparking conversation and connection.
Manuela restaurant has already captured the attention of both the art and culinary worlds, with notable features in Financial Times, New York Post, and Cultured magazine,
